Custom Modal Family Matching Pajamas

One construction, every size

The same block runs from 3-6M to 4XL. Most family sets fall apart at the join. A baby cannot wear a button front, and a two-piece on a newborn is the first thing a parent complains about. This page goes the other way. Every member wears the piped button set. The smallest size is drafted with a popper placket at the neck, so the collar does not gape on a child who cannot sit up.

The photographs show it in solid white with black piping, and the third image shows the same set in blush. Both are custom colorways, not a fixed palette. Send a Pantone reference and the base cloth, the piping and the buttons are dyed together.

It also works as maternity. The second photograph is the same top over a third trimester. The placket opens, and the hem is straight, so it sits over a bump instead of riding up.

Why modal, and the two grades

Modal is a cellulose fiber spun from beech wood. Against standard viscose it feels softer, and it keeps its dimensions: it shrinks less, pills less, and holds a drape through repeated washing. A piped set is where that shows. The trim runs around six edges, and a cloth that moves in the wash drags the piping out of line.

We run two grades. LENZING™ Modal is the branded fiber, and it is what the photographs are cut from. Standard modal is the lower-cost option, on the same pattern and the same finish. Say which grade you are quoting and the sheet is built around it. 190gsm and 220gsm are the two weights we run most.

Three recipes are on the sheet. 95% modal + 5% spandex. 47% cotton + 48% modal + 5% spandex, for a drier hand with the modal drape. And 95% bamboo + 5% spandex in Tanboocel® viscose, for a buyer who needs the bamboo story on the label. Across all three, Anti-Pilling Grade 3.5+, Shrinkage ≤ 4%, Fastness Grade 4.

Compliance & Testing

Children's sizes carry the sleepwear flammability reports for the destination market. In the United States that means US CPSC 16 CFR 1615/1616, and the rule governs fit rather than chemistry, so nothing is added to the cloth. A CPSIA Children's Product Certificate goes out with it. Applicable OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100 certification is available for relevant certified article ranges, including modal and the cotton-modal blend, under certificates BJ020 287849 and BJ025 287848, valid to 15.07.2027. Every document can be read before you commit.

Quality control

Production is inspected at four points, and photographs plus production notes come back from each one. The piping is checked against the base cloth at the first one. A trim that reads as a different shade under daylight is the fault that turns up in a customer photograph. A final 100% quality check sits before packing. Then every size is laid flat together. A color drift between the 3-6M set and the 4XL set is invisible one garment at a time.

Your color and your buttons carry through the cloth, the packaging and the brand tag, with neck tags cut to your design. The file does not go to another buyer, the copyright stays with you, and an NDA is signed first.
